Fighting out of Australia, Caitlin McEwen, 22, was one of the winners at “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warriors Series” Season 7. It was her debut in the ONE Championship subsidiary headed by mixed martial arts veteran Rich “Ace” Franklin, 44, of the United States.

ONE Championship held “ONE Warrior Series 7” in Singapore on August 6, 2019 featuring one Muay Thai contest and 14 professional MMA matches. In the ninth bout of the evening, McEwen competed in an MMA match in the women’s strawweight division against Jenelyn Olsim, 22, of the Philippines with Olivier Coste as the referee.

Coste put a stop to the contest after 1 minute in the first round. McEwen submitted Olsim via armbar.

Winning at “ONE Warrior Series 7” improved the professional MMA record of McEwen to 5 wins and 1 loss. She is training out of Stockade Training Center in Fyshwick, Canberra, Australia.

On the other hand, Olsim now has 3 wins and 2 losses. She is training out of Tribal Torogi in Baguio City, Philippines.

Born in Australia on November 26, 1996, McEwen has been competing professionally since 2016. Before joining ONE Warrior Series, she competed in BRACE Mixed Martial Arts, Valor Fight, Australian Fighting Championship and Aftershock MMA.

Including Australia and the Philippines, 16 countries were represented at “ONE Warrior Series 7.” The others were Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Northern Ireland, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the U.S. and Vietnam.

Australia was represented by three fighters namely McEwen, Joseph Luciano, 27, and Uyen Ha, 22. The Philippines had five representatives namely Olsim, Allan Albindo, 22, Ismael Bandiwan, 23, Lito Adiwang, 26, and Dave “Kintas” Bangguigui, 23.
