Japan and Australia were among the countries represented at the ONE Championship event titled “ONE: Masters of Destiny” on July 12, 2019. The fight card featured mixed martial arts matches as well as ONE Super Series contests including Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts.
ONE Championship held “ONE: Masters of Destiny” at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the ninth bout of the evening, Hiroki Akimoto, 26, of Japan faced Kenny “The Pitbull” Tse, 24, of Australia.
Blue Corner
Tse is training out of is training out of Team Ultimate Australia in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. “ONE: Masters of Destiny” marked his third ONE Super Series outing.
Red Corner
Akimoto is training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore. “ONE: Masters of Destiny” marked his third ONE Super Series outing.
Results
Elias Dolaptsis was the referee of the bout between Akimoto and Tse, who competed in a kickboxing bout in the flyweight division. It was the third kickboxing bout of the evening.
After three three-minute rounds, the kickboxing contest was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Dolaptsis raised the hand of Akimoto, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Winning at “ONE: Masters of Destiny” improved the professional kickboxing record of Akimoto to 21 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Tse now holds a professional kickboxing and Muay Thai record of 39 wins and 8 losses.

Including Australia and Japan, 20 countries were represented at “ONE: Masters of Destiny.” The others were Brazil, China, Finland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam and the United States.
Tse was one of the two representatives of Australia. Akimoto was one of the five athletes who represented Japan.
