Professionally known as Precious Paula Nicole, drag performer Rodolfo Hontiveros Gabriel II, 36, won “Drag Race Philippines” Season 1. The first season of the Philippines’ “RuPaul’s Drag Race” spin-off aired on Discovery+ and HBO Go in the Philippines, Crave in Canada, and WOW Presents Plus in the rest of the world from August 17, 2022 to October 12, 2022.
Nicole will appear in RuPaul’s DragCon UK in 2023. Among the singers she has impersonated are Mariah Carey, 53, and Beyoncé Knowles, 41.
“Drag Race Philippines” Season 1 alumni will attend “Her Story, Her Way: Love, LIZZO” at the Empty Stomach Cafe and Lounge Bar in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines at 3:00 p.m. on November 25, 2022. Among them are Nicole, Brigiding, Viñas Deluxe and Turing .
Brigiding finished sixth at “Drag Race Philippines” Season 1. Viñas Deluxe and Turing finished seventh and ninth, respectively.
Buknoy Gonzales will host the event which is dedicated to “Love, Lizzo“, a documentary film about the life of rapper and flutist Melissa Viviane Jefferson, 34, who is professionally known as Lizzo. The film will be released on HBO Max in U.S. on November 24, 2022 and on Binge in Australia on November 25, 2022.
Lizzo is recognized not only as an R&B superstar but also as an LGBTQIA+ ally. She has also invited several “RuPaul’s Drag Race” queens to be part of her music video for “Juice” and was even a guest judge on the show.
Recently, Lizzo recorded a cover of the Stevie Wonder song “Someday at Christmas” for Amazon Music. She explained, “I chose to cover ‘Someday at Christmas’ not just because it’s a classic but because it’s a reminder to us that almost 60 years later, we are still fighting for peace, compassion and equality.”
