Dongwoo Shin, 30, of Seoul, South Korea almost won Mister Global 2021 in Maha Sarakham, Thailand on March 15, 2022. He was second runner-up.

Founded in 2014 and based in Bangkok, Thailand, Mister Global is one of the six grand slam international male beauty pageants. The other are Mister World, Mister International, Mister Supranational, Man of the World and Manhunt International.

Sophicha Apichonsantad and Kuntida Muntrikaeo hosted the Mister Global 2021 coronation night. Reigning Mister Global 2019 Kim Jongwoo (김종우) , 25, of South Korea was one of the judges along with Suchar Sarachan, Alex Xavier, Dr. Jaturong Mairae, Paweena Natasin, Phongsri Wangwan, Ratchanee Phromphaeng, Ratchanee Vorcharttrakul, Praiya Bunmee, Lakkhana Methanithikunt, Chanat Kansut, Sirichai Siripai, Kampol Thongchai, Kesinee Meesakunthawon and Patima Laochai.

It was the seventh edition of Mister Global. Including Shin, 33 men competed for the title, which was won by Miguel Angel Lucas Carrasco, 21, of Spain.

Runner-up to Lucas is Danh Chieu Linh, 25, of Vietnam. Juan Carlos da Silva, 21, of Venezuela is third runner-up and Gabriel Alejandro Ortiz Aguayo, 22, of Mexico is fourth runner-up.

Shin is a plastic surgeon who enjoys working out in the gym and travelling to different countries. He is fluent in Korean and English.

On September 6, 2021, Shin competed against 33 other finalists at Mister International Korea 2021. He was one of the three second runners-up and was later appointed as Mister Global Korea 2022.
