Gabriel Alejandro Ortiz Aguayo, 22, of Armeria, Colima, Mexico almost won Mister Global 2021 in Maha Sarakham, Thailand on March 15, 2022. He was fourth runner-up.

Founded in 2014 and based in Bangkok, Thailand, Mister Global is one of the six grand slam international male beauty pageants. The other are Mister World, Mister International, Mister Supranational, Man of the World and Manhunt International.

Sophicha Apichonsantad and Kuntida Muntrikaeo hosted the Mister Global 2021 coronation night. Reigning Mister Global 2019 Kim Jongwoo (김종우) , 25, of South Korea was one of the judges along with Suchar Sarachan, Alex Xavier, Dr. Jaturong Mairae, Paweena Natasin, Phongsri Wangwan, Ratchanee Phromphaeng, Ratchanee Vorcharttrakul, Praiya Bunmee, Lakkhana Methanithikunt, Chanat Kansut, Sirichai Siripai, Kampol Thongchai, Kesinee Meesakunthawon and Patima Laochai.

It was the seventh edition of Mister Global. Including Shin, 33 men competed for the title, which was won by Miguel Angel Lucas Carrasco, 21, of Spain.

Runner-up to Lucas is Danh Chieu Linh, 25, of Vietnam. Dongwoo Shin, 30, of South Korea is second runner-up and Juan Carlos da Silva, 21, of Venezuela is third runner-up.

Ortiz is an actor, a volleyball player and a model. He played a bit role in “El Señor de Los Cielos,” a telenovela that premiered on Telemundo on April 15, 2013.

While pursuing a law degree, Ortiz won Mister Model Colima 2019. On December 6, 2019, he represented Colima at Mister Model Mexico 2019 at the Centro Cultural Toluca in Mexico City, Mexico and won the title.
