Adele’s ‘Easy on Me’ video filmed in Quebec, Canada, directed by Xavier Dolan

The music video of Adele‘s new song “Easy on Me” was directed by Cannes Grand Prix winning director Xavier Dolan. It was shot in Quebec, Canada in September 2021.

Dolan directed the music video of Adele’s hit song “Hello,” which was released on October 23, 2015. She and Greg Kurstin co-wrote both “Hello” and “Easy on Me.”

“I was honestly hoping for this to happen,” Dolan said. “For me, there’s nothing stronger than artists reconnecting after years apart.”

“I’ve changed,” the director continued. “Adele’s changed and this is an opportunity to celebrate how we’ve both evolved and how we’ve also both remained faithful to our dearest themes. It’s all the same but different.”

Columbia Records released “Easy on Me” on October 15, 2021. Its music video begins in the same house Dolan and Adele used to shoot the video for “Hello.”

“Easy on Me” is the lead single of Adele’s fourth studio album “30,” which will be released via Columbia Records on November 19, 2021. The album is available for preorder at all physical and digital retailers globally.

Exclusive configurations will be available at select retailers nationwide including a Target deluxe CD featuring three bonus tracks and a Walmart clear exclusive double vinyl. An Amazon white exclusive double vinyl will be available globally.

“30” and “Easy On Me” will also be offered on cassette, exclusive to Adele’s D2C store while supplies last. The album will be available on all digital platforms.

Hailing from London, England, United Kingdom, Adele started dating Simon Konecki in 2011 and they welcomed their son Angelo James Konecki on October 19, 2012. The couple got married in 2018 and separated before the year ended.

In 2019, Adele filed for divorce from Simon in the United States. “Easy on Me” was inspired by the divorce, which was finalized on March 4, 2021.
