Monsta X concert, fan meeting in Seoul announced

Certified fans of Monsta X will get to meet the members of the K-pop boy band in person at least for those who are based in Seoul, South Korea. This is a breath of fresh air for the fans since fan meetings and live concerts have been restricted since the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic started in 2020.

Starship Entertainment has confirmed that it will host a Monsta X fan meeting and concert in Seoul from March 6-7, 2021. The specific venue has yet to be announced.

The band’s company noted that seating arrangements will comply with the COVID-19 guidelines imposed by the government. The event will be broadcast live through the band’s channel on Naver’s V Live so fans who could not attend could still enjoy it.

Only the members of the official fan club of Monsta X can buy tickets to the offline event. However, tickets for the online broadcast will be open to the everyone.

Formed by Starship Entertainment through the Mnet reality survival program “No.Mercy” in December 2014, Monsta X currently has six members namely Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M. The group debuted with seven members on May 14, 2015 with their first extended play titled “Trespass” but Wonho left the group in 2019 and pursued a solo career in 2020.

On February 14, 2020, Epic Records released Monsta X’s album “All About Luv.” It is the K-pop group’d sixth studio album and first ever English-language album.

The standard edition of “All About Luv” has 11 songs including “Beside U” featuring Pitbull, “Who Do U Love?” featuring French Montana and a remix of “Who Do U Love” with will.i.am. The extended version has a bonus track, which is the rap version of “Beside U” by I.M.

On November 2, 2020, Starship Entertainment released Monsta X’s third Korean-language studio album “Fatal Love.” I.M and Joohoney co-wrote its lead single titled “Love Killa” with Seo Ji-eum, Jeff Lewis and Andy Love.
