Reth Sarita is a Cambodian an actress, model, presenter and beauty queen. As a model, she has worked with several international brands and companies including Swatch, KFC and Emirates Airlines.

Reth speaks Khmer and English. Here are 13 more things about her:

  1. She was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 1995.
  2. She attended the private French primary school Lycée Français René-Descartes in Phnom Penh.
  3. She was 17 when she started competing in beauty pageants and talent competitions.
  4. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Vanda Institute in Phnom Penh.
  5. In 2015, she starred in the short film “Happiness.”
  6. In 2016, Reth starred in the short film “The Dinner” and the feature film “Mind Cage.” In the same year, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Cambodia honored her with the Youth Champion Award for her advocacy in promoting gender equality, reproductive health rights and prevention against gender-based violence in her home country.
  7. In 2017, she starred in the short film “The Interview.”
  8. She played Marima in the BBC Media Action’s television series “Love9.” In 2018, she told the Khmer Times, “I started my art by going to pageants where I first fell in love with the spotlight on fashion modelling and acting. I persevered a lot and did not lose hope and give up. Eventually I was called in for casting and was selected for a role in the TV hit show ‘Love 9.'”
  9. She played Lillie in “Hex,” which also starred Ross McCall, Jenny Boyd, Adrian Hough, Kelly Blatz, Philip Philmar, Steve Bakken, Sveng Socheata and Dara Phang. The horror film was released in the United Kingdom on September 27, 2018, in Vietnam on October 26, 2018, in Poland on May 10, 2019, in the United States on September 6, 2019, in the Philippines on October 23, 2019, in Japan on November 2, 2019 and in Taiwan on January 17, 2020.
  10. She played Lin in “The Spell,” which also starred So Ramphoum, Sveng Socheata and Thanet Thorn. The horror film was released in Cambodia on March 9, 2019, in Greece on May 10, 2019 and in the U.S. on October 8, 2019.
  11. She starred opposite Monysak Sou in the short film “California Dreaming,” which was screened at the Singaporean International Film Festival on November 30, 2019.
  12. On November 26, 2020, she was crowned Miss Universe Cambodia 2020 at  the Bayon TV Steung Meanchey in Phnom Penh, besting 19 other candidates. She also won the Best Advocacy and Best in Interview awards.
  13. She is the fourth woman to represent Cambodia in Miss Universe.
