Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang, 27, of Baguio City, Philippines competes again after nine months. Training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines, the Igorot mixed martial artist will fight Koha “Hiroba” Minowa, 21, of Saitama, Japan at “ONE: Inside the Matrix 3.”
Featuring five MMA matches, “ONE: Inside the Matrix 3” will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on November 13, 2020. In the first bout of the evening, Adiwang and Minowa will battle it out in the strawweight division.
Minowa will make his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Inside the Matrix 3.” He competed in Shooto from November 2015 to January 2020.
Currently, Minowa holds a professional MMA record of 10 wins and 2 losses. Adiwang has 11 wins and 2 losses.
Including Adiwang, three Team Lakay fighters are on the “ONE: Inside the Matrix 3” card. The other two are former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, 31, of Baguio City and former ONE Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 32, of Ifugao, Philippines.
In the co-main event of the evening, Eustaquio will fight “The Running Man” Song Min Jong, 28, of South Korea at a catch weight of 64 kg. The Korean contender is a ONE Warrior Series alum.
In the main event, Belingon will face John “Hands of Stone” Lineker, 30, of Parana, Brazil in a bantamweight contest. They are currently first and fifth, respectively, in ONE Championship’s ranking for bantamweight MMA fighters.
Including Japan and the Philippines, six countries will be represented at “ONE: Inside the Matrix 3.” The others are Brazil, China, Russia and South Korea.
Belingon, Eustaquio and Adiwang are the only representatives of the Philippines. Minowa is one of the two fighter who represent Japan.
Competing professionally since 2012, Adiwang competed in ONE Warrior Series from October 2018 to August 2019. When he made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Century” in Japan on October 12, 2019, he knocked out Senzo Ikeda, 38, of Japan.
On January 31, 2020, Adiwang earned his second ONE Championship win. He submitted Pongsiri “The Smiling Assassin” Mitsatit, 24, of Thailand at “ONE: Fire and Fury” in the Philippines.
