The Philippine version of “The Masked Singer” will air on TV5. Titled “Masked Singer Pilipinas,” the show will feature Billy Crawford and Aga Muhlach.
Crawford will host “Masked Singer Pilipinas.” He expressed his gratitude for TV5’s support and encouragement sharing.
“Sobrang excited na kami (We are very excited),” Crawford said. “Nagpapasalamat kami sa Diyos sa biyaya na binigay Niya sa amin, itong programa na ito, at sa TV5, just for opening your doors, and your windows and your blinds, maraming salamat. Enjoy, enjoyin na natin ito kasi talagang maraming exciting news ang ihahandog ng Kapatid natin, kasi talaga marami-rami ito. (We thank God for the blessing He gave to us, this program, and to TV5, just for opening your doors, and your windows and your blinds, thank you very much. Let us enjoy this because there are really many exciting news to be offered by our Kapatid because this is really many.”
Kapatid, the genderless Filipino word for brother or sister, is the term used to refer to the employees and supporters of TV5. On the other hand, those of GMA Network and ABS-CBN are referred to as Kapuso and Kapamilya, respectively.
“Handa lang kayong lahat, (All of you, just prepare),” Crawford said. “Be patient as much as everybody’s trying to be. Thank you so much.”
Muhlach will be one of the panelists at “Masked Singer Pilipinas.” For him, while the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has yet to end, it is time for artists to unite.
“Dapat naman hindi divided ang mga artista (Artists should not be divided),” Muhlach shared. “Dapat always welcome ang lahat. Pare-pareho tayo. Iisang industriya ang ginagalawan. (All should be always welcome. We are the same. We belong to the same industry.”
“Tigilan na natin ang dibisyon (Let us stop the division),” Muhlach continued. “May Kapuso, Kapamilya, Kapatid. Lahat tayo, nasa entertainment industry. Mas masaya ang publiko kung hindi hiwa-hiwalay (There are Kapuso, Kapamilya, Kapatid. We are all in the entertainment industry. The public will be happier if we are not divided).”
Featuring 12 mystery celebrity singers, “Masked Singer Pilipinas” will premiere on October 24, 2020. Cristine Reyes and Matteo Guidicelli will join Muhlach in the panel.
