Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen was one of the Vietnamese martial artists featured in the open workout held by ONE Championship as a preliminary activity for “ONE: Immortal Triumph” at the Hotel Nikko Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on September 3, 2019. The Vietnamese-American fighter is set to make her debut in the Singapore-based organization’s striking-only league ONE Super Series.

“I’m excited to compete in ONE Super Series,” Nguyen stated. “This organization has so much talent, and the opportunities for athletes are endless. One of the biggest reasons why I love being in ONE Championship is because I can fully test my abilities in all areas of fighting.”

Featuring kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts only, “ONE: Immortal Triumph” is the first ever ONE Championship event that does not have any mixed martial arts match on the card. In the eighth bout of the evening, Nguyen will face her fellow ONE Super Series debutante Puja Tomar of India in a Muay Thai bout in the atomweight division.

“I am in no way taking my opponent, Puja Tomar, lightly,” Nguyen shared. “I’ve prepared very well to counter her strengths and what she brings to the table. I expect a great performance for the both of us and the fans happy with the action they get to see. I’m definitely going for the finish if it presents itself!”

“ONE: Immortal Triumph” marks Nguyen’s third outing in ONE Championship. As a professional MMA fighter, she has 1 win and 1 loss in the promotion.

Taking place at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on September 6, 2019, “ONE: Immortal Triumph” is the first ever ONE Championship event to take place in Vietnam. Aside from Vietnam, 14 other countries will be represented namely Australia, Brazil, France, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Russia, Slovakia, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
