China is the host of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, which runs from August 31, 2019 to September 15, 2019. One of the eight games in the preliminary round was between Angola and Serbia.
On September 2, 2019, Angola will face Italy while Serbia will face the Philippines. On September 4, 2019, Angola will face the Philippines and Italy will face Serbia.
This is the third time Serbia is competing n FIBA Basketball World Cup. The country won the silver medal in the tournament in 2014.
