Two World Boxing Council titles on the line with “SFC 8: Renegades of Fight,” the eight event of Singapore Fighting Championship. The combat sports event will take place at the Singapore Foochow Association in Singapore on September 28, 2019.
In the main event of the evening, Nurshahidah “The Sniper” Roslie, 31, of Singapore will go head to head with undefeated boxer, Fan Yin, 22, of Chengdu, Sichuan, China, which is known by many to be the home to China’s cute giant pandas. They will compete for the vacant WBC Silver Female Super Bantamweight title.
Fan holds a perfect professional boxing record of 8 wins and 0 loss. Two of her victories came from technical knockouts and one from a split decision in a bout for the vacant World Boxing Organisation Asia Pacific Female Bantamweight Title against more experienced boxer Yuko Henzan, 21, of Okinawa, Japan.
To keep a perfect record, Fan may face her biggest obstacle yet in Roslie, the first female professional boxer in Singapore. The latter comes off a technical knockout victory over Thailand’s number one female boxer Siriphon Chanbuala, 26, in what was a very one-sided performance with the Singaporean boxer dominating the bout.
Holding a professional boxing record of 14 wins and 2 losses, with 11 of the wins coming from stoppages, Roslie is the number one ranked female boxer in Asia. She aims to be the most dominant force in the boxing scene so a win against an up and coming talent such as Fan would be vital to cement her legacy to be one of the best female boxers.
Whatever the result, fans can be sure to expect fireworks in the 10-round bout between Roslie and Fan “SFC 8: Renegades of Fight.” Early bird tickets are at $45 at Juggernaut Fight Club in Singapore and other partnering gyms from August 23, 2019 to September 28, 2019 and tickets will be sold at $50 at the door during fight night.
