Fighting out of the Philippines, Allan Albindo, 22, was one of the winners at “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warriors Series” Season 7. It was his second bout in the ONE Championship subsidiary headed by mixed martial arts veteran Rich “Ace” Franklin, 44, of the United States.

ONE Championship held “ONE Warrior Series 7” in Singapore on August 6, 2019 featuring one Muay Thai contest and 14 professional MMA matches. In the fourth bout of the evening, Albindo competed in an MMA match in the strawweight division against Arif “Ayep SC” Izzudin, 29, of Malaysia.

The referee put a stop to the strawweight contest in the third round when Albindo knocked out Izzudin. It was a redemptive win for the Filipino contender who was coming out of his unsuccessful ONE Warrior Series debut.

Winning at “ONE Warrior Series 7” improved the professional MMA record of Albindo to 1 wins and 1 loss. He is training out of Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu in Cebu City, Philippines.

On the other hand, Izzudin now has 1 win and 2 losses. He is training out of Equinox MMA in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

“ONE Warrior Series 7” marked Albindo’s first ONE Warrior Series win. When he made his debut at “ONE Warrior Series 6” on June 20, 2019, he lost to Manthan “Metal” Rane, 22, of India via unanimous decision.

Including Malaysia and the Philippines, 16 countries were represented at “ONE Warrior Series 7.” The others were Australia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Myanmar, Northern Ireland, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the U.S. and Vietnam.

Malaysia had three representatives namely Izzudin, Matt “Pirate” Korro, 33, and “Lehe F3” Lehe, 22. The Philippines had five representatives namely Albindo, Ismael Bandiwan, 23, Lito Adiwang, 26, Jenelyn Olsim, 22, and Dave “Kintas” Bangguigui, 23.
