[PHOTOS] South Korea vs Japan: Dae Sung Park, Kimihiro Eto rematch at ‘ONE: Masters of Destiny’ in Malaysia

South Korea and Japan were among the countries represented at the ONE Championship event titled “ONE: Masters of Destiny” on July 12, 2019. The fight card featured mixed martial arts matches as well as ONE Super Series contests including Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts.

ONE Championship held “ONE: Masters of Destiny” at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the seventh bout of the evening, “Crazy Dog” Dae Sung Park, 26, of, South Korea faced Kimihiro Eto, 30, of Japan.

Blue Corner

Eto is training out of is training out Wajutsu Keishukai HEARTS in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. After winning four ONE Warrior Series bouts, he made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Masters of Destiny.”

Red Corner

A ONE Warrior Series alum, Park is training out of MOB Training Center in Seoul, South Korea. “ONE: Masters of Destiny” marked his second ONE Championship bout.

Results

Yoshiniro Umeki was the referee of the bout between Park and Eto, who competed in an MMA match in the lightweight division. It was the fourth MMA bout of the evening.

Umeki put a stop to the flyweight contest after 1 minute and 59 seconds in the second round. Park knocked out Eto.

Winning at “ONE: Masters of Destiny” improved the professional MMA record of Park to 8 wins, 2 losses, 0 draw and 1 No Contest. On the other hand, Eto now has 16 wins, 5 losses and 2 draws.

Countries

Including Japan and South Korea, 20 countries were represented at “ONE: Masters of Destiny.” The others were Australia, Brazil, China, Finland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam and the United States.

Park solely represented South Korea. Eto was one of the five representatives of Japan.
