[PHOTOS] Indonesia vs China: Adrian Mattheis, Li Zhe fight at ‘ONE: Masters of Destiny’ in Malaysia

Indonesia and China were among the countries represented at the ONE Championship event titled “ONE: Masters of Destiny” on July 12, 2019. The fight card featured mixed martial arts matches as well as ONE Super Series contests including Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts.

ONE Championship held “ONE: Masters of Destiny” at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the fourth bout of the evening, Adrian “Papua Badboy” Mattheis, 26, of Indonesia faced Li Zhe, 19, of China.

Blue Corner

Li is training out of is training out Longyun MMA in Harbin, China. A ONE Hero Series alum, he made his official ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Masters of Destiny.”

Red Corner

Mattheis is training out of Tigershark Fighting Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia. “ONE: Masters of Destiny” marked his 11th ONE Championship bout.

Results

Motohiro Tsuruwa was the referee of the bout between Mattheis and Li, who competed in an MMA match in the strawweight division. It was the second MMA bout of the evening.

Tsuruwa put a stop to the strawweight contest after 1 minute and 51 seconds in the second round. Mattheis knocked out Li via strikes.

Winning at “ONE: Masters of Destiny” improved the professional MMA record of Mattheis to 9 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Li now has 5 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw.

Countries

Including China and Indonesia, 20 countries were represented at “ONE: Masters of Destiny.” The others were Australia, Brazil, Finland, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam and the Unite States.

Mattheis was one of the two representatives of Indonesia. Li was one of the two athletes who represented China.
