The United States, Vietnam and Russia were among the 16 countries represented at “ONE: For Honor.” It was the second ONE Championship event in 2019 that took place in Indonesia.
Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and four ONE Super Series contests, which are four Muay Thai bouts, “ONE: For Honor” took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4, 2019. The ninth bout of the evening was between Thanh Le ,33, of the U.S. and Yusup Saadulaev, 34, of Russia.
Le was the sole representative of both the U.S. and Vietnam at “ONE: For Honor” while Saadulaev was one of the two fighters who represented Russia. Australia, Cambodia, China, England, India, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Scotland, South Korea and Thailand were also represented.

Saadulaev is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and a former TFC Featherweight Champion. Hailing from Dagestan, Russia, he moved to Chicago, USA to transition from wrestling to MMA under the tutelage of Christian Uflacker.
“ONE: For Honor” marked Saadulaev’s ninth ONE Championship bout. He is training out of Krepost Fight Club and Uflacker Academy.
Red Corner
Le is currently based in Metairie, Louisianna, USA while his father is originally from Vietnam. He is a black belt in taekwondo and a former Interim Legacy Fighting Alliance Featherweight Champion.
Training out of 50/50 Jiu-Jitsu and Mid-City MMA, Le is making his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: For Honor.” He competed in “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 22 in 2015 and in the LFA from 2017 to 2018.
Fight Results
Le and Saadulaev competed in an MMA match in the featherweight division. Olivier Coste served as the referee.
Coste put a stop to the contest after 12 seconds in the second round. Le knocked out Saadulaev.
Winning at “ONE: For Honor” improved the professional MMA record of Le to 9 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Saadulaev now has 17 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw and 1 No Contest.

Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, 21, of Walworth, London, United Kingdom will challenge reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, 34, of Buriram, Thailand in the main event. [RESULT TO BE ADDED HERE]
