Jordan and France were among the 16 countries represented at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” on April 19, 2019. It was the second Brave Combat Federation event to take place in the country.
Featuring 12 mixed martial arts matches, which included three title bouts, “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” took place at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. In the main event of the evening, Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 23, of France challenged reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan.
Al-Selawe was one of the five hometown heroes at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” while Abdouraguimov solely represented France. Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, England, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia, the United States and Wales were also represented.
Blue Corner
Abdouraguimov made his successful professional MMA debut in 2016. He joined Brave CF in 2018.
“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” marked Abdouraguimov’s third Brave CF bout. He previously competed in 100% Fight and European Beatdown, among others.
Red Corner
Al-Selawe made his successful professional MMA debut in 2013. He joined Brave CF in 2016.
“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” marked Al-Selawe’s seventh Brave CF bout. He previously competed in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship and Desert Force MMA.
Fight Result
The championship bout between Al-Selawe and Abdouraguimov went full five five-minute rounds. It was left in the hands of the judges.
In the end, the referee raised the hand of Abdouraguimov. The French-Russian challenger was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Winning at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” improved Abdouraguimov’s professional MMA record to 10 wins, 0 loss, 0 draw and 1 No Contest. On the other hand, Al-Selawe now has 13 wins and 3 losses.
