Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation will put on a landmark event on April 19, 2019 in Amman, Jordan for “Brave 23: Pride and Honor.” All eyes will be on the nine warriors involved in the amazing three title fights set for the show.
On April 17, 2019, Brave CF released a short film titled “Road to Brave 23.” The film has delved into the minds and training of the world-class athletes competing at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” as they look to shine on the brightest stage.
In the main event of “Brave 23: Pride and Honor,” reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan will make his much-anticipated return to his home country after becoming the first-ever Jordanian world champion. He will have one of the greatest grapplers in MMA to deal with in front of his crowd.
Challenging Al-Selawe is Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 23, of France, who has two devastating victories under the Brave CF banner. The French-Russian will look to become the first-ever Brave CF champion with an unblemished record.
“Road to Brave 23” explores how the Al-Selawe and Abdouraguimov match up and their thoughts on the monumental fight. Prior to their bout at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor,” there will be two other title bouts.
The co-main event of the evening will be a historical moment for MMA. Once again at the forefront of positive changes for the sport, Brave CF has assembled a super lightweight division, created to give fighters more options to fight at their optimal weight.
In the inaugural Brave CF Super Lightweight Championship, Eldar “Khan” Eldarov, 27, of Bahrain will face undefeated fighter Mounir “The Sniper” Lazzez, 31, of Tunisia. This is a fight four years in the making as Bahrain-based Russian fighter has been repeatedly asking to face the Tunisian fighter since 2015 when the latter was widely considered the best Middle Eastern fighter on the planet.
Another Jordanian champion is also competing at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor.” Brave CF Lightweight Champion Abdul-Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady, 23, of Jordan will defend his title from Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Brazil
The build-up to the fight has been nothing short of tense as Santiago has not been shy in showing his confidence and has claimed that the Jordanian champ offers him no danger. Meanwhile, watch “Road to Brave 23” here:
