Singapore vs Japan: Christian Lee, Kazuki Tokudome fight at ‘ONE: Heart of the Lion’

A new bout has been added to the “ONE: Heart of the Lion” card. Christian “The Warrior” Lee, 30, of Singapore and Kazuki Tokudome, 31, of Tokyo, Japan will compete in a mixed martial arts match in a catch weight of 73 kg.

“ONE: Heart of the Lion” will be the second and final ONE Championship event in Singapore in 2018. It will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on November 9, 2018.

Lee and Tokudome will battle it out in the 13th bout of the evening, which will be the co-main event. The original co-main event has been promoted as the main event.

“ONE: Heart of the Lion” marks the 13th bout of Lee ONE Championship. On the other hand, it will be the second appearance of Tokudome in the promotion.

Both fighters are aiming for a redemptive win. Lee is currently riding a two-bout losing streak.

Originally competing in Pancrase, Tokudome made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Pursuit of Power” on July 13, 2018. During his promotional debut, the Japanese fighter lost via unanimous decision to Narantungalag “Tungaa” Jadambaa, 42, of Ulaangom, Mongolia.

The original main event was a superbout between ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee, 20, of Singapore and ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, 30, of China. The former was supposed to challenge the latter in an attempt to become the first female two-division world champion of ONE Championship.

However, Angela was pulled out of the card due to an injury. Originally the co-main event, the rematch between ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, 38, of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil and ONE Interim Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 30, of Kiangan, Ifugao, Philippines will be the new main event.
