[PHOTOS] Adrian Mattheis vs Aziz Calim at ‘ONE: Warrior’s Dream’ in Jakarta, Indonesia

Indonesia was well represented at the ONE Championship event “ONE: Warrior’s Dream,” which took place on November 17, 2018 at the Stadium Istora in Jakarta, Indonesia. The fight card features three ONE Super Series striking contests and 11 mixed martial arts matches.

In the fourth bout of the evening, Indonesian MMA fighters Adrian “Papua Badboy” Mattheis, 25, of Jakarta faced Aziz “The Krauser” Calim, 21, of Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. They competed in the strawweight division.

Blue Corner

Born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on October 10, 1997, Calim is of Filipino and Indonesian descent. He is training out of Han Academy in Surakarta under the tutelage of ONE Championship athlete Yohan “The Ice Man” Mulia Legowo, 37, of Surakarta.

“ONE: Warrior’s Dream” marked Calim’s ONE Championship debut. He previously competed in One Pride MMA.

Red Corner

Mattheis was born in Indonesia on May 14, 1993. He has been competing professionally since 2016 and joined ONE Championship in 2017.

“ONE: Warrior’s Dream” marked Mattheis’s ninth ONE Championship bout. He is training out of Tigershark Fighting Academy in Jakarta.

Fight Result

Referee Olivier Coste put a stop to the strawweight bout between Matheis and Calim at 0:57 of the second round. Matheis submitted Calim via guillotine choke.

Winning at “ONE: Warrior’s Dream” improved Matheis’s professional MMA record to 7 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Calim now has 4 wins and 3 losses.

In the co-main event of the evening, Nieky “The Natural” Holzken, 34, of Helmond, Netherlands and Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre, 36, of Sao Paulo, Brazil battled it out in a ONE Super Series kickboxing contest. The Dutch kickboxer knocked out his Brazilian opponent in the second round.

In the main event, Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam, 28, of Arsta, Uppsala, Sweden and Tyler McGuire, 32, of Spokane, Washington, United States competed for the vacant ONE Welterweight World Championship. The Swedish contender captured the belt by knocking out his American opponent in the fourth round.
