Anthony Engelen, Meas Meul

The Netherlands and Cambodia will be represented at “ONE: Heart of the Lion,” a ONE Championship event taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on November 9, 2018. In the first bout of the evening, Anthony “The Archangel” Engelen, 33, of Ermelo, Gelderland, Netherlands will face Meas Meul, 27, of Phnom Penh, Cambodia in a mixed martial arts bout in the featherweight division.

Half-Dutch, half-Indonesian, Engelen trains out of Tatsujin Dojo in Deventer, Netherlands and Alliance Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is a former Indonesian Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion.

The Dutch-Indonesian MMA fighter won three of his five previous ONE Championship bouts. “ONE: Heart of the Lion” marks his return after being released from the organization in 2017.

Currently, Engelen holds a professional MMA record of 6 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Meul has 5 wins and 2 losses.

Representing Cambodian Top Team, Meul is a judo specialist training under the tutelage of Cambodian MMA pioneer Chan Reach. Aside from being a five-time national champion in judo, Meul is also an undefeated fighter in Kun Khmer with a record of 13 wins and 0 loss in.

In the co-main event of “ONE: Heart of the Lion,” Christian “The Warrior” Lee, 30, of Singapore and Kazuki Tokudome, 31, of Tokyo, Japan will compete in an MMA match in a catch weight of 73 kg. In the main event, reigning ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, 38, of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil will defend his title against ONE Interim Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 30, of Kiangan, Ifugao, Philippines.
