
Masahide Kudo, Atsushi Onari, Singtongnoi Por Telakun
On October 6, 2018, Singtongnoi Por Telakun, 38, of Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand competed in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series for the second time. He was one of the seven Thai athletes who competed at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” at the Impact Arena in Bangkok.
“ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” featured eight ONE Super Series contests and six mix martial arts bouts. In the fifth bout of the evening, Singtongnoi competed in a kickboxing bout in the flyweight division against Masahide “Crazy Rabbit” Kudo, 27, of Japan.
After three three-minute rounds, the kickboxing flyweight bout between Singtongnoi and Kudo was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, referee Atsushi Onari raised the hand of the Thai contender, who was the winner via unanimous decision.
The win at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” improved Singtongnoi’s record to 221 wins and 80 losses. On the other hand, Kudo currently holds a professional record of 17 wins, 8 losses and 3 draws.
In the co-main event of the evening, Stamp Fairtex, 20, of Pattaya, Thailand became the new ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Champion by dethroning Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, of Chinese Taipei. The Thai challenger won via unanimous decision.
In the main event, reigning World Boxing Council Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, 31, of Sisaket, Thailand and his challenger Iran “MagnifiKO” Diaz, 28, of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico competed in 12 rounds of boxing. The Thai defending champion retained his title by winning via unanimous decision.
