Featuring 11 bouts, “Brave 16” will take place at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on September 21, 2018. The fourth match in Brave Combat Federation’s 16th event is a lightweight bout between Erick “Indio Brabo” da Silva, 29, of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil and Guram Kutateladze, 26, of Georgia.

“Brave 16” will mark Kutateladze’s Brave CF debut. Training at Allstars Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden, the Georgian mixed martial artist holds a professional MMA record of 8 wins and 2 losses.

On the other hand, da Silva has 22 wins and 5 losses. He trains at Astra Fight Team in Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina, Brazil alongside UFC fighter Darren “The Gorilla” Till, 25, Liverpool, Merseyside, England, who is expected to be in corner of the former at “Brave 16.”

Da Silva replaced Abdul Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al Selwady, 23, of Amman, Jordan as the opponent of Kutateladze at “Brave 16.” The Jordanian contender, who is of Palestinian descent, was injured weeks prior to the fight night so he had to withdraw from the fight.

On November 17, 2017, da Silva faced Al Selwady at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.” The Brazilian fighter was knocked out by his Palestinian-Jordanian opponent.

A win at “Brave 16” will automatically make either da Silva or Kutateladze one of the top contenders in Brave CF’s lightweight division. Recently, Ottman “Bulldozer” Azaitar, 28, of Germany was stripped of his Brave CF Lightweight Champion title due to refusal to defend his title for almost a year.

“To make it official we have made sure that Ottman Azaitar will be stripped of the lightweight title,” Brave CF president Mohammed Shahid stated. “We will have the match for a vacant title that will take place at the Brave International Combat Week.”

Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 29, of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil is no longer the Brave CF Interim Lightweight Champion, as well. He is moving down to his original weight class at the featherweight division.
