After a successful debut in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series, Sergej “Kuvalda” Maslobojev, 31, of Lithuania is returning to ring. Training out of Sparta Fight Gym under Andrius Sipaila, he will compete at “ONE: Pursuit of Power” on July 13, 2018 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

On May 12, 2018, Maslobojev made a successful ONE Super Series debut at “ONE: Grit and Glory.” The Lithuanian martial artist defeated Antonio Plazibat, 24, of Croatia via unanimous decision at their catchweight bout of 95kg.

When Maslobojev returns to ONE Super Series at “ONE: Pursuit of Power,” he will face Florent Kaouachi of France. This is the first time the French martial artist is competing in the league.

At “ONE: Pursuit of Power,” Maslobojev and Kaouachi will compete in kickboxing contest in the middleweight division. It will be the sixth bout of the evening.

Before joining ONE Championship, Maslobojev has established a career as one of the most accomplished strikers to ever emerge from Lithuania. He is a KOK and WKA Kickboxing World Champion with an impressive professional record against international competition.

Maslobojev began training in martial arts at the age of 18 and soon blazed a trail across the local and European kickboxing scene with his skills. He even moved to Lithuania’s capital city of Vilnius in order to have better access to sparring partners and professional trainers.

Aside from the ONE Super Series kickboxing middleweight contest between Maslobojev and Kaouachi, there are two other striking-only bouts at “ONE: Pursuit of Power.” The first bout of the evening is a Muay Thai contest between Petchdam Kaiyanghadao of Bangkok, Thailand and Josh “Timebomb” Tonna of Canberra, Australia in the flyweight division.

The third striking-only bout at “ONE: Pursuit of Power” is the co-main event of the evening. “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, 28, of Thailand and Yohann Fairtex Drai, 26, of France will compete in a Muay Thai contest in the featherweight division.
