
Yodcherry Sityodtong, Kai Ting Chuang
Yodcherry Sityodtong, 19, of Thailand met her “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” opponent Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, of Chinese Taipei on July 4, 2018. Along with nine other pairs of ONE Championship athletes, they had their official face-off at the Roof Top Bar of the Park Hyatt in Guangzhou, China.
“Thank you all for coming out today at the official face-off,” Yodcherry told the media and guests during the event. “It is an honor to stand before everyone here today. This Saturday, I will be competing for the inaugural ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship. I am a hundred percent ready to give the performance of a lifetime.”
Headlining “ONE: Battle for the Heavens,” Sityodtong and Chuang are the first female athletes to compete in ONE Championship striking-only league ONE Super Series. The winner will be the first ever ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Champion.
“I’m still young and my career in ONE Championship is just starting,” the Thai contender added. “But I have big plans and it all starts at ‘ONE: Battle for the Heavens.’ Kai Ting Chuang is a worthy opponent and I am not taking her lightly.”
Sityodtong went on to assure the fans that “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” is “going to be an amazing show.” Her ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship bout against Chuang will be the 10th bout of the evening.
Training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore, Sityodtong has a professional record of 81 wins, 18 losses and 1 draw. Before joining ONE Championship, she faced 30 male opponents, defeating 29 of them, and conquered heavier opponents.
On the other hand, Chuang is training out of Iron Boxing Gym in Nantun, Taichung, Taiwan. She has a professional record of 16 wins and 5 losses.
