Reigning Brave Combat Federation Welterweight Champion Carlston “Mocambique” Harris, 30, of Brazil is back in training after recovering from an injury. Among the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion’s fighters expected to challenge the champion are Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 28, of Jordan and Rodrigo Cavalheiro, 35, of Brazil.

“Jarrah Al-Selawe is a well-rounded fighter but I can see weak points in his game plan,” Harris stated. “Meanwhile, Cavalheiro was supposed to fight me before I became a champion. I think with his two straight wins at Brave, he wants that chance to fight me, but Al-Selawe is next in line for a title shot.”

Born in Guyana but fighting out of Brazil, Harris became the inaugural Brave CF Welterweight Champion on August 12, 2017 by defeating Carl “The Bomber” Booth, 28, of England at “Brave 8: The Rise of the Champions.” Originally, Harris’s opponent was supposed to be Carlos “Carlão” Leal, 25, of Brazil but he was replaced by Cavalheiro, who was eventually replaced by Booth.

The fight against Booth was Harris’s most recent bout. After capturing the title, the Guyanese-Brazilian champ went on hiatus to give himself time to recover from his injury.

Currently, Harris has 12 wins and 3 losses while Al-Selawe has 12 wins and 2 losses and Cavalheiro has 23 wins and 7 losses. The three are all undefeated in Brave CF.

Including Harris, Brave CF currently has five reigning champions. The other four are Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines, Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 24, of France, Ottman “Bulldozer” Azaitar, 28, of Germany and Klidson de Abreu, 25, of Brazil, who are reigning in the promotion’s bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, middleweight and light heavyweight divisions, respectively.

When Harris made his Brave CF debut at “Brave CF 3,” which took place in Parana, Brazil on March 18, 2017, he knocked out Thiago “Monstro” Vieira Damascena, 26, of Brazil. Watch their bout here:
