Fu Chang Xin, 25, will make his ONE Championship debut on July 7, 2018. He will face a fellow Chinese mixed martial artist at “ONE: Battle for the Heavens,” which will take place at the Guangzhou Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China.
At “ONE: Battle for the Heavens,” Fu will compete in the bantamweight division against “The Demolition Man” Tang De Pan, 26. The bantamweight bout between the two Chinese MMA fighters will be the seventh bout of the evening.
Hailing from Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, Fu began training to compete in MMA in 2011. Three years later, he took the plunge by making his professional debut and has since experienced great success, winning the majority of his bouts via stoppage, even claiming the CKF Championship along the way.
What sets Fu apart from other Chinese mixed martial artists is the fact that he has already competed abroad several times in his young career and is undefeated against foreign opposition. With a professional MMA record of 7 wins and 1 loss, he brings an impressive win streak into his ONE Championship debut.
To make a successful promotional debut, Fu has to conquer Tang, who is from Yongzhou, Hunan, China. After three ONE Championship bouts, the latter has 2 wins and 1 loss.
Headlining “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” are Yodcherry Sityodtong, 19, of Thailand and Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, of Chinese Taipei. They will compete for the very first ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Champion belt.
“World-class martial arts makes a triumphant return to the beautiful city of Guangzhou with another spectacular event,” ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated. He added that Yodcherry and Chuang will be joined by “several of the very best martial arts talent from China and the world.”
