Chinese Taipei’s Kai Ting Chuang to fight for ONE Super Series belt in Guangzhou, China

Fighting out of Chinese Taipei, Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, is competing for a championship belt in her ONE Championship debut on July 7, 2018. She and Yodcherry Sityodtong, 19, of Thailand will compete for the inaugural ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship at “ONE: Battle for the Heavens.”

ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated that “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” will feature a titanic clash between superstar strikers, referring to Chuang and Yodcherry. He added, “The two will be joined by several of the very best martial arts talent from China and the world, so don’t miss this awesome evening of authentic martial arts action.”

While Yodcherry is a multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion, Chuang is a professional kickboxer with a record of 16 wins and 5 losses. The Taiwanese contender, who represents Iron Boxing, is a two-time World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) National Kickboxing Champion.

Trained by former K-1 competitor Wang Chung Yaun, Chuang has a professional record of 16 wins and 5 losses. She started boxing as a teenager and she eventually transitioned to kickboxing and Muay Thai.

Headlined by Chuang and Yodcherry, “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” will take place at the Guangzhou Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China. Including the main event, the card will feature three ONE Super Series bouts, the first of which is a Muay Thai contest between Saemapetch Fairtex, 23, of Thailand and Deividas “The Savage Sitsongpeenong” Danyla, 26, of Lithuania in the bantamweight division.

The second ONE Super Series bout of the evening is kickboxing contest between Andre “The Giant” Meunier, 42, of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and Ibrahim “Mr. Cool” El Bouni, 25, of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It will be a catchweight bout at 105kg.
